Curtains come in all colours, and if you can't find the exact shade of purple you are looking for you can always purchase purple fabric and sew a top hem for a curtain rod and a bottom hem for a finished end and voila! you've got purple curtains. If you can't sew, you can use iron-on webbing tape instead -- works great for things like curtains.
If purple matches your decor and you like the colour, go for it! A colour won't make a room look amazing or terrible -- how you use the colour will. Good luck.

I probably wouldn't decorate my whole house with purple, but a room or two would be fine. And yes, there are such a thing as purple curtains.

We have purple curtains in our den. The walls are painted an eggplant color and the curtains are a deep purple tab top curtain for our sliding back patio door. We purchased them at Lowe's about 3 years ago.
We get lots of compliments on the color choice in that room.

Sure there are. Hint: dharmatrading.com has a great selection of fabric at reasonable prices. Make your own curtains!! Bet your purple curtains would look nice with my purple carpet.

U will be able to find curtains in any color or style. If u want to go dark get a dark purple color, not sure go with a lighter purple like lavender or lilac . Enjoy and yes I would.

I think there is. I would decorate with a sheer purple. In between light and dark purple. It also depends on the other colors that might be in where ever you're decorating

purple is my favorite color but to use purple curtains this would make a statement. i can visualize long draping soft flowing type not to heavy in fabric.i've never seen them you could easily have them made by a seamstress. where are you placing them living room bedroom, etc. this would make a differance in texture fabric.less is more keep it simple and drappy..
