It also sounds desperate to me. Plus you can't know if you're dealing with a 12 year old, a 70 year old, a pervert, or a stalker. People online love to lie. I've caught people on Yahoo Answers lying by seeing their question and looking back at their other questions. I say date people you know or meet through friends or activities. It's a lot less dangerous.

It could be a sign of being desperate, but on the other hand, it could become a real relationship, if both people are truly committed to it. If they are just in it for the pleasure-they are desperate, but if they really are looking for companionship-but are too shy to actually come out and physically talk to the other person, then not desperate. It really all depends on what situation the person is in. But yes, online dating could be a sign of being desperate.

I don't think there is anything desperate about online dating. Why not add something extra to your dating life that may give you more opportunities. The chances of meeting someone online with your same interests are greater and less expensive than going out to bars and clubs every weekend. And if you live in a small town there may be only one place to meet singles. I say go for it!

I have gone on to online dating sites. They are very busy and full. The members are from 18 to 60 years old. But I have never gone on a date with someone from the net. The one thing you have to be very carefull on what website you choice to go on to and what information you give out. Some do cost.

I think that online dating is ok for some people but I am not one of them. It just doesn't seem natural or normal to me and it's like admitting that you are desperate for love. I like to go out and meet people and see who I like and who I am attracted to. I think that is the fun in dating...

Forget it! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! There are to many people who arn't honest and only intersted in how you look on photo and think they are going to meet their dream man/girl "KNIGHT IN SHINING AMOUR! is a one over used quote! Come on get real!
Yes i tried it for one month just expecting one date at least and it didnt happen and i was'nt expecting much from it in the fist place.
My friend try it after i told them and they wer'nt expecting much either and in the end got so fed up they cancelled their subscription early.
In theory it sounds good but in reality it does'nt work!
Was i desperate NO! But i prefer the normal way of meeting someone is much better!
