Ok I am 16 and i have trouble getting up in the morning. I am a very sound sleeper. Even if my radio alarm goes of I am still asleep. Even a sonic boom is useless for me. What can i do to wake up early in the morning??? I knows most of you would say go to bed early. But if so how come my other family members dont have the same problem? My mom can wake up at the time she wants to. I know most of you would also probably say to let others wake me up but no there are nobody to wake me up. My mom will never wake me up if its holiday. I often get up like at noon hours like at 1pm or 2 pm. If this continues then I might ruin my life later. I would never be able to wake up early in the morning. Plz send me the best answers possible. I dont wanna be in bed 15 hours a day and waste my time. I jus wanna be in bed for max 6 hours. I dont wanna sleep more than that.

It's obvious that you need more than 6 hours of sleep a night. Everyone has different sleep needs, so just accept it. Most people need at LEAST 8 hours of sleep, some people more.
Go to bed earlier ... if you get enought sleep you won't feel the need to sleep 15 hours on the days you don't get woken up.

get your thyroid checked. My wife can sleep 16 hours a day and still not be well rested. two of our children are the same way, yet my daughter and I can sleep 5 hours a night and feel like brand new. you need 8 hours of sleep a night to keep healthy. I would stop drinking all soda and turn the t.v. off at night while you sleep. that would be a good start.

This will change as you get older, so don't worry about having this condition forever.
For now, if you have a cell phone, program 2 alarms with ringers you like set about 10 minutes apart. You can also go buy 3 cheap alarm clocks somewhere and stick them about the room, so the chances would be high that you could not turn them off in your sleep.

People sleep too long when they are not active. Inactiity in the body breeds laziness and tend to sleep more etc. I feel you miss a lot in life when you sleep in the early hours. they are fresh and the weather will always beautiful. try to set something you wish to do in the morning. also, go to bed early and more important, set your bilogical clock instead of radio to alarm you to get up. if this doen't work doubt your internsions. no offense ment. it is only human to do what we surely want to do if there is no hinderance.
all the best and enjoy life... remember it is more than sleeping

try this. when you get into bed. relax your body. think of nothing. hard i know but if you relax enough you will find it easyer. controll your breathing, when you feel your at your most comfortable wheich is about the time your going to non off. tell yourself you want to wake up in 6 or 8 hours. try thinking of a time you want to wake up. heres the cruch. your mind is so powerfull if you told it you was going to be ill you would get ill. you need to learn how to controll it. this works for lots of people as im sure they will tell you. just remember when you do wake up look at the time straight away you will be amazed how close to the time you wanted you woke up at. just remember also not to go back to sleep. it usually helps if you jump straight out of bed. after a week or so your body will get so used to it it will happen naturally. thats why peole sleep so much they are to used to it. your supposed to go to bed when it gets dark and get up when its light but thats not happened for about ten thousand years now. hope you try it and it helps you out.

you are a teenager doing what a lot of teenagers cant help doing and that's sleeping. your body is still adapting to hormonal changes and pathways in your brain to do with moods and stuff are still developing. give it another 6 months and you'll be fine. worrying about it can make you sleep more. in a couple of years when you have to work late and get up early you are going to think i wish i could sleep!

It checks your movement during sleep and automatically wakes you up when you are in a light sleep phase. (max. 30 before your defined time). It's not just easier to wake up but you feel more relaxed and powerful than waking up while in a deep sleep phase.
