I live in a city where there is voilent crime every day. Anything from a shooting or stabbing to meth labs being busted and kids being abused and neglected. When they show the person they arrested, it is usually an illegal and/or some other foreigner legal or not. About 20% of those arrested might be anglo. It frustrates me that the United States government can not see what the illegal imigrants are doing to this country.

I have no problem with the illegals that come here and work and run their own businesses and pay taxes. My problem is with the ones that come into this country to distribute their drugs to US citizens and their children. There is also the issue with gang members from southern countries coming up here to extort money from the hard working citizens and doing harm to innocent bistandards.

I am not 100% confident that a fence along the border is going to solve this problem. The border patrol has found tunnels that drug users move their drugs through. If the drug dealers are able to build tunnels, then who is to say that a determined illegal would not do the same thing.

I believe that what we need to do is take all of the illegals we have in our prison systems, and with warrants, and send them back to wherever they came from.

Reported. I think you are oversimplifying the issue. I am sure that if you got to know these people, you'd find that they're not really bad. It takes a special kind of person to see beyond the facade, but once you do, you might find that although these people are illegal, they are human beings as well. You seem to be making sweeping generalizations that certain groups are all into the drug trade.

My number one gripe about illegal immigrants and most immigrants is that they are not willing to learn English.

Second biggest gripe, Illegal immigrants don't pay taxes or into social security.

I know America was started by immigrants, but for the most part they did it legally. My ancestors immigrated thru Ellis Island from Germany, and later from Ireland. They learned the language and got honest work. Why is that so hard for the Mexicans and Cubans to do.

BUSH also needs to do something about the immigration problem in South Florida.

So what you are saying that every single illegal person in the US are running around your backyard, trashing it up, bringing in drugs, stealing your crops and breaking into your homes/ farms. WOW!! Are we also running into schools and shooting innocent children? Wake up and smell my re-fried beans!!

OMG, are you saying that only illegal immigrants do those things? I've seen many people doing just that, and then some, that are legal and/or citizens. Scum comes in all colors, shapes, sizes, and from everywhere. Wake up!

Then can you explain what most of the people from iraq think of us? aren't we in their back yard too? not only there but in other countries too. and besides it's not how you put it, most illegal people come here to work hard and they pay taxes, so with those people you will have a beautiful garden in your back yard!!!

It seems most countries in the world have some sort of border crossing regulations ... so why can't the US? Likewise, other countries have the right to protect their property, their citizens and their economy ... so why not the US? The anti-illegal immigration argument doesn't make much sense to me either.

must be the way the people of iraq feel about a bunch of american teenage boys who in their own country are not allowed to drink and if they were not in iraq be living at home with mommy and daddy....running around their country killing and raping and terrorizing people in their homes.....destroying buildings

read www.jeanvaljeanlives.com/THENEWCOLOSSUS.html

so you can understand what the hell you are talking about!

don't you find it alarming that we have children that are killing and being killed in iraq to defend the rights of these people but in this country americans are being stripped of their rights every day!

why a wall...didnt we tell the russians to take theirs down!!!!!

jesus get your priorities in line! we have terror because we don't have the moral high ground!

that simple

america becomes america again and represents the core values it was founded on and then and only then do we win the war on terror....because for right now as we sit here and play politics on our laptops .....WE THE USA OF AMERICA ARE THE TERRORIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111
