Poki,
Do some research man, do not be so niaeve!
Google Stoning in Iran.
It is going on RIGHT NOW under Shira Law, women are to be buried to their necks and men to their waste, if they escape, they are to go free.
Men are hardly ever stoned for adultery though.
Many times when women are raped they do not report it because they may just be charged with adultery, unless there were 4 wittneses to the rape. So women can in effect be stoned to death for being raped.
It happens, TODAY!!!!!!!!
Look at this site, it appears that it may have slowed down, or that they just are not publicising it anymore, but there accounts up through 1998.

Take the rose collered glasses off and open your eyes.
Peace!

Because some people are evil and ignorant. This is/was the case not just with Muslims... In the New Testament, Jesus says to those who are stoning a woman for adultery: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" (paraphrased)
The world needs enLIGHTenment.... many are wandering in darkness.

Women found guilty of adultry under sharia law are stoned because that is the penalty prescribed by the Qur'an. This is because Islam demands total submission. According to the scholar, Sayyid Qutb, there will be peace (absence of war) when the whole world believes in Islam. All dissidents will be eliminated.

Even the bible has the same punishment for adultry. And in Islam this is a penalty not just for women but also for men.Its nobodys fault if u dont follow your scriptures. Its not difficult to abstain from adultry.if people in the west have made it a norm its their problem.

The same as Christianity, the old rules are still used to abuse the populace. Imagine if we all followed Leviticus? Their holy book must contain the same amount of old, outdated ideas. The muslim countries have been slow to change on woman's issues.

This is not confined to Islamic communities. Death for adultery is a part of many communities of all religious backgrounds, including Christian ones.
Perhaps you are confusing a community practice that occurrs in many areas, including some Islamic ones, for a practice that is confined to Islamic communities.
