" A former Russian spy who once lived in Toronto under a false name, found love and rejected her roots, is suing Ottawa for refusing to let her return here as a landed immigrant, said reports."

So's not to offend those who can't stand cut and paste, I'll just add the link, but do you see any reason at all why the Canadian government should grant her request?

maryjane, you can't please all the people... some want a question mark at the end of everything. Thus, 'did you see'?

On the other, no I don't blame idiocy on anyone. However, why don't you do your own research on the population, overcrowding and funding of schools in areas where illegal immigrants concentrate? You could start with the LAUSD, where my own children attend. Illegal immigrants do degrade services and cause overcrowding in school, and no amount of shouting is going to change that fact. Do some research.

Why do you write "Did you see?" after every question you ask? Are you asking us to answer if we did or not, or are you wanting answers about the actual content you are asking about? You don't really need to ask if we saw it. Just post the link and give your opinion/ask your question, whatever the case might be.

P.S. This seems to be a question that won't get too many answers, so i'll just ask you in here.... it's regarding an answer you gave on another person's question... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApmLzxQYKLb9F1R79s48ogbsy6IX?qid=20061005103956AAfWesj

"Our own children's education is failing because so many illegal immigrants have come and either brought their children or had children here for us to educate. Poor people, even if they pay all taxes, don't pay nearly their cost in services like education. We subsidize those for our poor people, but can't take on the poor of the world. Our own children in schools where children of illegals concentrate are now getting substandard education, even though WE are the ones funding the schools. How on earth do you think THAT is fair?

We limit immigration for good reason. There is no 'right' to come here at all."

My question is.... Are you blaming the ignorance of Americans (from childhood to adulthood) on illegal immigrants? If so, that's the stupidest thing I've read on the entire Yahoo! Answers board, EVER. Don't blame an illegal because your kid is ignorant and/or stupid. It's up to him/her to pay attention and learn as much as they can, whether the class size is 10 or 100. Parents should also try educating their children as much as they can. Stop blaming illegals for everything and take responsibility for your actions/inactions.

I have family living around there and they aren't blaming anyone else for their children's lack of education. In fact, they're A/B students, not the best, but not the worst. They're kids afterall. Anyway, I understand what you're trying to say but still think that you're blaming the wrong person for the ignorance of children. I would blame the school and the president before anyone else, for starters. Afterall, he's the one supposed to be making sure "no child is left behind"...

No, At least I do not believe so. They are smarter than the Mexicans who will come to America and paintings for three or much less Dollars. Canadians are to shrewd to paintings for not anything. Also they don't seem to be as trashy as Mexicans. Have you ever been to Mexico, it's so soiled. I were to each, Canada and a border the town in Mexico, shall we simply say Canada is plenty cleanser.

Canada is doing the right thing. You'd think people feel it's acceptable to write their on ticket and everything must done on their terms.
