It depends on the person and type of pill. Going on or off the pill can mess up your cycle. Don't be too concerned about it right now. However if you don't want to get pregnant you should still use condoms. If you don't have a period in another two weeks, see your doctor.

When I went off it, I had the regular pill period during what would have been the last placebo week. Then I didn't have one for 58 days, but was regular at 29 after that. My doctor said it's not unusual at all to have an anovulatory cycle when you first come off it; if you don't ovulate, you won't bleed until the lining of your uterus gets too heavy to support itself, which can take awhile since the pill has previously kept the lining of the uterus thin. You could just be experiencing something similar to what I did. Probably no cause to worry just yet.

i was on the pill for 8 yrs. wheni got off, i would go months without having a period. I even went to the dr. for a shot to get them started. I had one the next month and then they became irregular again. It just diffes person to person.
