Just wondering? I have a decade of experience, working in major U.S. cities, as well as work with a federal agency, and will have an MBA as well - I think living abroad would be a great experience for my family - are their recruitment efforts for non-nationals from outside the EU?

Texas? Oh right...the avatar...because of course, that's EXACTLY how I look and dress in real life...nothing tongue-in-cheek about it at all...

Now that would be odd - not having a firearm - you REALLY need one to be in law enforcement in the USA - trust me, I've been shot at before and probably will be again. I "break leather" at least once a week - the US of A is a scary place when the sun goes down...

"The law enforcement agencies in the region in US do recruit everythings. " Well, that answer makes as much sense as a hi-fi trashcan...this guy is about as fluent in English as I am in Chinese - but at least when I order won ton soup, I get won ton soup...

Wouldn't you feel naked without your guns, dark glasses, three strikes life sentences, death sentences, unfreedom of speech? Would you be really satisfied trying hard to be polite through clenched teeth and calling everybody 'feller' (dont ask). Wasting your time every night on idiot binge drinkers filling the streets with piss and vomit?

I think if you can stand it, please come, we need a few educated policemen to replace the redneck grunts that don't know the law. Try the recruitment website for Hendon college for details, unfortunately these are the rquirements: British citizen, Commonwealth citizen not subject to any restrictions on their stay in this country or citizens of the Irish Republic.

So you'd have to get indefinite leave to remain first, still good career prospects for your level: see the links.

YES, but at the moment the UK police seem only to be recruiting ethnics, gays other minorities to fill the gap that Mr.T.Blair and his PC brigade insists on. Some good white males being refused because of this. Anyway write to New Scotland Yard, SE1 and see what happens, they will not hang you.
