I recently got a new job also, I was used to going to school and going to my job on a whenever basis, but my new job is 7:30 to 4:30, to transition, I made sure I got plenty of rest the night before, it helps to maybe tire yourself out at first if going to bed early is difficult. I would go for a run or go to the gym, I'd avoid any napping and get myself tired enough to go to sleep and stay asleep earlier. I'd set my alarm clock for the right time and as hard as it is, I had to force myself up in order to not be late. It shouldn't take too long to transition, in a week or so you'll be fine. Eat well also, a good diet gives you more energy to stay awake during the day, that's also a struggle of changing hours, I would get up and arrive on time, but by 10 in the morning, I was ready to lay my head down. So plenty of rest and a good diet should do the trick. Good luck at your new job.

It's important to change your eating and drinking habits now, so your body doesnt wake up at weird hours expecting the daily sugar or caffiene rush. You might want to read about ways to deal with jet lag, as the issues and solutions are the same.

Wow, not much of a change, in my opinion. Just set your alarm earlier and go to bed at 10:30 every night. Won't take long to get used to it.

If you have time try doing it in increments. I am guessing that you are going to want to go to bed 2 hours early. Try adjusting 1/2 each day if you have more time then 4 days, try adjusting 1/2 hour every 2, 3 days etc.
