do all human strive to be good? if not all, why?

I think I am a good person. I don't like to hurt others. When I think that something I've said or done has hurt someone, I try to make amends.
I don't think that all humans strive to be good. Some people have been so damaged by abuse, that their number one motivation in life is survival (figuratively speaking), even if it means hurting others along the way.

I'm a good person because I am true to my nature.
I strive to be honest.
People who strive to be a good person, in the sense that you asked, are only striving for approval. They believe that their good deeds are evidence of superiority.
Some strive to look like good people. Others strive to be considered a good person. It still boils down to seeking approval or accolades.
A truly good person doesn't need to check himself; doesn't need to measure his actions against a preset or approved standard.

I put others before my self more often then I put myself before others.
I think everyone knows what is required to be good, but not all humans strive to be good because they believe that self-sacrifice can not provide them personal gain.

We all have a conscience (a still small voice within) that leads us to the 'good' of life. With personal responsibility we can choose to listen or not. The more intent we have to do the 'right' thing in all situations, the more it will be 'right'.

i am a good person because i love my daughter, i do not intentionally harm others, i do not hurt others for my own amusment or to get ahead, i do not enjoy the suffering of others and i try to help out people the best i can.

am a combination of both good and bad simply because this is a mortal trait. am in the process of gaining wisdom and knowledge and then teaching to others what I have learned. what may be good to you may be bad to me and what is good to me may be bad to you. therefore all need the right to define their own definitions as long as these don't interfere with others free will and the laws rules and mores of the culture and society in which one lives.

but they have threatened an orphan and for that i wish churches burn today. cause if god rules by decree that was Me and if you don't like it i will place you under the power of the prince of darkness. and air india is an example of what they can do. and when did that happen again? any symbolic connections to european law said no one could hurt any thing german? those who said i sold my soul when where and what proof? i love disasters good thing for you nobody listens to Me.

There is non good only our father in heaven is good,because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3-23,so you see no human is truly good,only our father in heaven is good,because all humans have broken the ten commandments.
