What makes you lose weight is a very simple formula:
AmountOfEnergyYouTakeIn MINUS AmountOfEnergyYouPutOut
Food is measured in "calories", which is a unit of energy. Food input is your body's source of energy. If the difference above is positive, your body will slowly gain weight. If the difference above is negative, your body will look for energy from your fat stores, consume them, thereby making you thinner and weigh less.
Its that simple. Regardless of the diet or program, this simple rule is ALWAYS followed.
So ... if you run, that's a form of exercise, that's a way to output energy and a way to make the second term in the formula above get bigger. But if after you run you come home and eat three bags of potato chips and other fatty processed foods, you won't lose weight.
Some supplements (Chromium Picolinate, L-Carnitine) help this process. Others (Garcina Carbon*) help suppress your appetite. But to lose weight, you must expend more energy than you take in.
Buy the supplements above at a Walmart. Buy a good protein powder. Substitute 3 protein shakes a day for 2 meals and a snack. Eat lots of vegatables. Exercise. The weight will fall off you.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

This is what worked for me. I did 200 minutes of cardio every week. I did planks and other abs exercises on alternate days. On training days, I did 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then weight training, followed by more cardio.
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck!

Sweetie!Lemme tell you my OWN experience, very simple to follow. Many times thirst is interpreted as hunger.Drink lots of water and never sleep within 4hrs from the time you finish your meal. For instance you finish your dinner at 8,keep yourself busy with music of your favorite and dance for at least an hour, read books, watch TV or even do this QnA to divert your mind from any form of munch.Drink water whenever you feel empty.Sleep hungry. That's one secret of mine. For Breakfast, eat whatever you like and grab some apples or any uncooked or unfrozen food for lunch OR take some fruits, yoghurt,(any UNCOOKED OR UNFROZEN) for BF and eat whatever you like for lunch BUT 1/3rd of your normal meal portion and if your stomach begs for more, ignore it and drink plenty of water. If you're a working woman, use stairs instead of lifts and walk as much as u can.You should be physically more active in and around your workplace. If you're not a working woman,i'd advise you to just go out window shopping even for an hour everyday! It's not about the shopping, but walk, walk and walk.Even a nice shopping mall in your area will do,with some stairs climbing and have fun as you lose weight.

1st of all sweat is gained back by drinking water so using extra sweats, belts or pants are just useless,as soon as you consume one cup of water, you gain the weight back.NUTRITION you must intake less calories than what you burn.DONT STOP EATING! just eat healthier such as fresh fruits, tuna, special k,vegetables, white rice and baked chicken, also try drinking %2 milk or water. my recommendation drink 3 cups of green tea daily, helps boost your metabolism & is EXTREMELY healthy for you is even proved to help you burn an extra 65 calories a day.WORKOUT plan your workout correctly, mon-weight-tue-cardio-wed.rest-thur-weight-fri-cardio-sat-rest. repeat. when you do cardio it helps strectch & build a better immune system, when you weigh train it turns fat into muscle, muscle burns more calories even when you sleep, remember 3,500 calories make a lb, so watch what you eat!

The best way is to stop drinking anything but WATER. Soda and Juice have too much sugar, and will make you gain weight.
