They are idiots... let one of them get hit by a car then they might stop doing it.. but if you want to help suggest something else you can do that is really exciting, like bungee jumping or skydiving then they wont have to be so bored with there lives that they lay in the middle of the road!

This is very dangerous and very serious. You need to bring adults into the situation. Whether a guidance counsellor or a parent or a family friend or even the police. They need to learn why they are doing this and solve the problems beneath this. It is very likely if you do NOT stop this one of your friends WILL die. You need to stand up and let your voice be heard and stop them from making such stupid and harmful decisions. You are smart enough to know what they are doing is wrong and not follow along. I hope you are smart enought to take my advice and save thier lives.

Sounds wierd! I use to do that in streets when I was bored or high. This for me was just a phase. What i would do is suggest to them what other things you guys could get into. If they are not interested I would suggest to find other friends. Sounds like you are smarter than that.

Besides if they don't listen and something happens you don't want to feel like it's your fault. so do what you can and get out of there.

They'll definitely grow out of it........as long as their hearing remains in good working order! If you've tried to talk them out of it and they've ignored you then there's not much you can do. Reporting them to higher authorities won't make you popular in their eyes, and that probably won't achieve anything anyway. The best thing to do is keep on pointing out what a bunch of idiots they are and hope that they eventually see sense.

well, the next time they do it you could call the police and tell them where to find them. maybe that would scare them enough to stop, maybe not (the police shouldn't tell them who told them about it). otherwise there might not be much you can do except be sure not to join them! you've tried to tell them to stop, then your conscience can be clear. it's their decision to keep doing it and put their lives in danger. -- and the lives of drivers on the highway. call the police. after that, i don't know what else there is you can do except maybe talk to their parents--but you would probably lose your friends if you did that. (think about do you want to be friends with people who would do something so idiotic anyway?) it's your call!

What you do is tell their parents. But as a friend you probably won't. So tell YOUR parents! Tell the cops! Tell anyone who has the authority to stop & save them! Being teens, why are you out at 2am??

its not just sad its stupid...there is nothing you can do though as with most ppl who do stupid things its going to take a miracle or a very bad experience to get them to stop. unfortunately the bad experience is one of them is going to get hit and killed and even worse there will be an unsuspecting driver and their family who will have to pay the price for the stupidity and selfishness of another not to mention the families of these 3 teens. sometimes our mistakes and stupid actions can kill us.

Yep, they will grow out of it, but might turn to drugs to get that hight instead. It's normal for a teenager to act impulsive and do crazy things. They are trying to find their identity.

yea, then one of them decides to run left and the other runs to the right...
they bump into each other and fall down,
or trip on a shoelace...
that poor driver going 110 mph in his smooth and quite Mercedes will feel real bad!
take some camcorder videos so you can remember them.
