i would like a tight perm but do not like putting the rods in my hair - is there a way to perm hair without using these ?

noooo...go to a salon and pay somone else to do it for you...

Actually,there is. All you have to do is to section your hair into small sections and twist them real tight (depending on how tight you want your curls). You have to do this while your have is super wet. Keep twisting your hair as they start to dry. Make sure you dont leave any sections behind. Once they are completely dry (after several hours), separate the curls with fingers. Do not comb- ever! You can lightly run through with your fingers some leave on conditioner/serum-watever hair product you want.Good luck trying this out. It has worked for me. Remains curly till next wash.

YOU MUST HAVE A FORM FOR THE HAIR TO Take on the new shape after you neutralize. there is no way around it if you want a tight curl.

Get yourself a Dark&Lovely no lye relaxer. That will do the trick.
