Is it related to gastra intestine functions, just like the serotonin is?

I heard serotonin directly affect the ability of bowel movement.

Is it same to the dophamine?

Hi Friend,

Dopamine is a neuro transmitter, mainly of Dopaminergic system. It have different functions in all over the body. In intestine, it reduces secretions n motility, thus can cause constipation. But dont confuse it with Gastro inestinal system. Every system of our body has it's own balance. So effects of each chemical presipitates when there's a chemical imbalance in our body.

Simply saying, there are other chemicals to balance the action of Dopamine. So there will be no constipation in normal human due to Dopamine. but it affects when U takes a dopaminergic drug.

I hop U got it..

Yes, I do believe this is true, but some people just have sluggish colons from eating all that non-fibrous junk food. Lots of water and fruits and veggies does the trick.
