Organised religion - 'Opium for the Masses'
I am totally sure that Jesus, Mohamed, and all the other saints, prophets etc were bringers of great good to the world and brought divinity to man. The problems we now face, 'The Monster' as you put it arises from the greed of man.
The organised religions of the world are power structures. A vehicle designed for nothing more than to keep the people obedient through fear of God and to make soldiers fight harder in the belief that their righteous death will be rewarded in heaven.
The only way for the human race to move forward and overcome the monster of organised religion is education. People need to be empowered to think for themselves. When you achieve a level of general education people are less afraid of the world in general and as a result religion cannot wield so much power over the mass popular mind.
Educate the world. Empower people to think for themselves. World peace will follow.

The greatest monsters in history were the anti-religious, atheistic regimes of the twentieth century, - - - the bloodiest century ever.
The self declared, atheist governments of Lenin, Stalin, Mao tse Tung, Kim il Sung, Pol Pot, Ceucescu, Eric Honicker etc. etc.
were responsible for the greatest slaughter in human history.
Even the crimes committed in the name of Islam pale into insignificance compared to the crimes committed in the name of atheism.
Mao's regime alone is estimated to have murdered at least 25 million people, and Stalin's around 8 million.
At the present time, the Atheistic, Secular Humanists see nothing wrong with the heartless slaughter of 50 million unborn babies through abortion which they advocate and support. This appaling slaughter is still continuing every day.
It seems from all this, that the real monster we need to control, more than any other, is ATHEISM.

God is NOT the monster. The monster is the one who is called the 'prince of the world.'-satan. The monster has a hold on this world and will not let go until he gets beaten in the rapture.

What is the monster? I think that some religion can be deceiving. There is a Christian moderate move starting and gaining momentum here in America. Democrats have good morals, feed the poor, good education, tolerance and help the sick. Not all Christians are the crazy Religious Right.

the answer to your question seems to be easily seen in the comments about jesus being "THE Way" ie. the only way. He never suggested that. It was Paul who made it up and had it written down. And, because somebody a long time in the past said it, it "must" be true.
Pathetic, isn't it. The sane members of society just have to wait until the religious wars are over, once again, sanity may rule the world instead of superstition.

No, but you can opt for an entirely logical account of God and the Universe by clicking on "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website, and join the growing number of people whose views on the world were changed.

It's not possible. Humans are socially dependent. One belief will always replace another even if it is the belief that there should be no religion. I just try to lead a socially responsible life but still keeping my family and I a priority.

we cannot control the monster unless we are able to control ourselves. religion is something that resides within ourselves and our thinking.
as for a political answer, the constitution assures us that it will not be controlled by the government.

Satan can be considered a religion as well - so what's your point?
I give this answer in response to many people in this forum who openly worship Satan, who do not believe in any Gods and who are agnostic (unless all 3 groups are full of **** merely to solicit some confused 14 year old on Myspace or Facebook). I also give this answer in response to those who suffered and died from the Catholic Inquisition.
