I've stood up in 3 weddings and had no time to drink with pictures etc. Our wedding last year I had no time to even eat. I went to a wedding last weekend and got some what tipsy but not "stand up on a table and dance" drunk. :)

I think my answer probably would be different if i were still single. Admit it, when single, weddings can be a little depressing...ok a lot depressing.
Although i have been to weddings that were completely dry (no alcohol in the whole county) and had a great time. But weddings are fun...in fact, a reception is a PARTY! I think it all depends on the wedding and the couple and the other guests as to how "wasted" a person can get.

Not me. I might have a drink or two but I don't drink more then that. Weddings are about romance and elegance you shouldn't ruin the couples wedding by getting wasted. That is wrong and just mean. That is why at my wedding we didn't have any alcohol at all and there wasn't any alcohol allowed on the property that we had the ceremony or the reception. This way we knew that nobody would be wasted.

Nope. I'll have a glass of wine or champagne and maybe a cosmo if there is an open bar but that's it. I don't want to get drunk at someone else's special day. (Besides I almost always prefer tipsy over wasted - everything is twice as fun and you can still remember it the next day)

Once, and that was long ago at my best friend’s wedding ..... two persons had to send me home in my Honda. Can’t remember the guy, the gal is my friend’s niece. I was aware that the journey took
a long time and also jerky. The following day, I learnt that she had cruised all the way with 2nd gear! What a laugh it was.

the weddings that I have gone to always have an open bar and yes I did get drunk but not too wasted. At my own wedding I did get drunk but not wasted. I am lucky, when I am drunk no one can tell.

I got so wasted at a wedding once that I ended up sleeping with the best man at the hotel next door. I was never into a dude before but for some reason we were really horny that night.

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't get wasted. Usually I have to drive home so I am super careful how much I drink.
