Be yourself my dear boy if she cannot accept you for who you are then is she really worth it?
The women in your life will change you by their influence not by their will if they are worth becoming involved with at all. Love yourself first and another learn to love as you do yourself.
I assume you are around her age if so then your shyness is completely natural and nothing to be ashamed of. I was once very shy and goofy as a an orangutan on a meth bender around women however i got over it and started talking to them and before long i was dating, having girlfriends and after high school i was dating every weekend.
Just be yourself and don't go by the rules of clique i was a total goth in high school (yes goth has been around for a long time) and my girlfriends in high school were a "band dork" and a "princess". Choose for yourself who you hold to your heart and don't let the rules of the group restrain you..(as long as it's legal).

If you must get to know each other, visit her at her house when her parents are home. Remember to shake the parents hands and introduce yourself by using your full name. Its the proper thing to do.

You don't. Girls like that at that age are more influenced by popularity and friends... not as much by boys. Wait a few years, you may find out she's not what you want anyway.
