What is the pumpkin fungus? I haven't heard of it. And I doubt that satan has the time to go around messing with pumpkins. satan is too busy messing with every other aspect of life to worry about that.

Why should anyone do that? Unless you inhale or ingest the toxic kind, mold isn't a bad thing. It's an important part of helping things decompose.
