Well if you believe in the Jewish or Christian God then you have to believe in the 10 commandments and it tells you not to use the Lord thy God's name in vein.
So it is wrong. I also think that you should respect others around you who may find it inappropriate and refrain from using this phrase around them. Just common respect for others.
