How come the school distrect has changed sooo much when i was in 7th grade harly homework

She has soccer practice every day fron 7:30 to 9 and is in honnor classes , She does do some in other classes , yesterday i went in to see what she was doing , she had a math book out bigger than my head?????????? aND LIke 15 sheets of notebook paper all over the floor , even i dont have that much in one night in one subject , all that was on the floor was math

bc 7th grade sucks
in 6th they say they are preparing you for 7th when really they arent they let you use books for all the tests and give you all the answers
and in 7th they give you no help and a HUGE amount of homework every night
but the trick is do your homework for other classes in other classes i get so much done its a lot easier bc i play sports

because its a school and school gives homework so that people can learn... thats why she has homework. they are not being gentle and easing kids into school, now its going to get tough for her because oh yeah she is in a school and usually schools give out homework...

i feel your pain....my 4th grader had so much one night....that i had to go on and let him go to bed and he had to get up next morning and finish before school....and we started an hour after he got home. i NEVER had that much....ever....he is not going to be able to play sports if it doesnt let up some....i know school is more important....but i think so are extra curricular activities...it keeps them sane and out of trouble.
