Download AIM or have her download Yahoo messenger..is it really that difficult?

Either SHE download Y messenger:

http://messenger.yahoo.com/

Or YOU download aim: http://www.aim.com/

I would do the latter and surprise her. After download, add her email to your buddy/family list.
