i rarely drink alcahol, like one or two beers in a month. i haven't smoked pot since 1998 or took acid since then, but every time i wake up in the morning i feel like dog s h i t. i'm always dizzy or in some kind of physical pain. i'm usually confused about the most simple things. and get easily distracted from easy random tasks. if you want to further understand than you should see the begginingof the movie crank. what the hell is happening?

depression, it can cause physical pain too. I would go and get a complete physical check up to rule out any underlying ailments, then hit the doctor up about possible depression. Good Luck!

I, too, used to experiment with drugs and alchohol to excess. It made me feel awful.

But what you are describing sounds more like a condition. From your brief description, you may have an acute form of ADHD which makes it very difficult to get up and motivated.

Do you put off tasks for absolutely no reason? You may WANT to do them. You may start them, but for reasons you cannot describe you just cannot make yourself finish them?

Do random, unrelated thoughts zoom through your head at all hours?

Do you sometimes become "hyperfocused" on something, only to be completely unable to focus at all at other times?

There is much more to ADHD than screaming children. Many, many adults have this condition and there are many different kinds.

The only way to know for sure is to get diagnosed by a psychologist. Medication helps about 80% of the cases but you should be sure that you are not prone to become addicted to amphetamines first.

You definetly need to make a visit to your doctor. These could be a symptoms of a number of things, ranging from mild to serious. Your doctor is the only one that can tell you for sure.

I don't know what those symptoms could be. Maybe you should go to the doctor and get a physical just to be on the safe side.

You should have a sleep study done. Most hospitals have some type of sleep disorders center. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms. You may have sleep apnea and not know it.
