Most certainly. Pomade was a very popular product back in the time in which that movie was set.

Yes, my Pop-Pop started using it in the late 1920's. My dad had to use it as "times were tough" and they could only afford to buy one and share it. He didn't like it cause it was too greasy, So he use to use my mother's dippity-doo.

you might be able to find it in a grocery store....its a really old stinky brand...its also really greasy...they have it at HEB here
