You can't really 'have' a Siamese....but I have been owned by several since I was a child. I can't remember ever being without one, in fact. One in particular could jump up and turn doorknobs with his paws, then throw his weight against the door to open it. (FREAKED ME OUT the first time he did it....I was alone in the house at 12 yrs of age while everyone else was out for some reason one evening, and heard an upstairs bedroom door open like that. I calmed down after actually seeing him do it on several other occasions. LOL) He also used the commode sometimes (started doing it all on his own!!!) He never flushed, though....
Siamese cats are HIGHLY intelligent beings. They are quite capable of carrying on very 'interesting' conversations, as they are somewhat 'opinionated'....LOL. Consider yourself lucky that he lets you live in his house and do his bidding. ;-)
To an above poster: LOVE the names Cookie and Crumb for a mother/daughter. Sorry you lost your Crumb. :'(

I do :) She's a 10 year old Lilac point Siamese named Cookie
Her daughter *sadly she passed away almost 4 years ago* was named Crumb. Cookie can open a door if its not shut all the way *reaches under the door w/ her paw and pulls it towards her* I also love her sing-songy chirpie voice. I know that looks weird, but you have a Saimese..you know they don't meow like many reg cats
Edit: To A Vet... Thanks for your kind words I still miss "The Crumbster" to this day.The funny thing is Cookie also had a son "living with a friend" and he was named *Im serious* Chip!! LOL

I have 2..."Mouse", is a 4 yr old seal point male, (I also have an 8 yr old son with a weird sense of humor for pet names)and "Cricket" is a 3 yr old Flame point, Mouse's son. (We also have 4 horses, 2 ponies, 5 boxer dogs, 26 chickens, 2 calves, and a Ball Python named "Peanut"{he has peanut shapes in his pattern on his skin!}. I won't even bore you with a list of all THOSE names, LOL!).
Mouse and Cricket are the current 2 of a long list of Siamese in my history. i have had other breeds of cats, but keep going back to my Siamese, they seem to be the best fit for me and my family!
And, YES, we live on a farm!!!

I have a cat that is half spotted Siamese. He's very chatty and is always opening cabinets and doors.
:)
I agree though - I've had two cats that were at least half siamese and they are so friendly because of they are incredibly talkative.

I had 2 siamese, but now I just have a Bengal. We love Trinket dearly, but I miss my Siamese so much. I really want another one, but my Bengal has been sick and vets don't know why. I'm hoping she can be cured so I can get another Siamese!
