No, that is why it is called urgent care!!! Just be prepared to wait for a few hours if they are busy.. the best time to go is late afternoon or early morning

Ask if they accept walk-ins. Most do, which is why they are urgent care. If you don't have insurance, or your insurance won't cover the visit, expect to pay anywhere from $80 - $120 just for the office visit, not including any lab work. Also, take a book, you'll likely be waiting a while. If you can, go during "normal work hours", when fewer people usually go (between 9 am and 5 pm).

Good luck!

Usually not. But sometimes it's not open 24 hours, so you may want to call ahead. And they usually don't treat emergency situations - for that you'd go to an emergency room. It's more for care you'd normally go to a doctor for but maybe your doctor isn't in the office or is on vacation or something.

No, no one needs an appointment for urgent care. However, they prioritize care based on severity so if your problem is not too severe, you may have to wait for a while.
If it really bothers you, just go. I've gone to urgent care for an ear infection and even though I waited for a few hours, it was worth it.

When I needed to use Urgent Care, I just walked in. I was given a form to fill out for my symptoms, and the docs saw me shortly afterwards.

I would say no, if its that kind of office. It must not be too bad if you could take the time to post a question here.
