"My 6 year-old son has had a fever of 106 for the past two and a half weeks"
No he didn't, and everything else is a lie as well.

Your doing the right thing by home schooling. I hear 106 temperature is contagious.
I also think you should stuff ice cubes in his undies if your not being able to fool the teachers with the cold bath technique.
And what the hell are you thinking giving him chicken noodle soup when he's got a fever? Don't you know about the Oscar Mayer Wiener songs? Now that song is a lot more fun then the noodle song, you should be feeding him hot dogs!
And finally, common- you actually let him vomit all over your new carpet? You are a bad parent! Sit him in the bathroom (day and night) til the vomit passes, so he can throw up in the toilette. No excuses!
Do the right thing.

Jesus, this cant be a real question, becuase if it is, you're an extremely unfit parent. Assuming it is, if you're child has had a 106 degree fever consistently for 2 weeks, he probably has at least some brain damage by now (congratulations), as that kid of heat is extremely detrimental to anybody's (and especially a child's) brain functionality. It is difficult to say what caused it, because many, many things can cause a high fever, which is just you're bodies way off fighting a particularly nasty infection. I would say that since you're an obviously lower-than-average socio-economic household, the fever probably hasnt gone away becuase of poor diet, poor hygiene, a more than likely combo of both, or any number of other things. Regardless, he needs to see the doctor ASAP. Homeschooling him isnt a good idea, since it is probably you're home that is causing the problem. Secondly, a "cold bath" or shower is only a temporary solution, as it will just lower the temperature, not get rid of the temperature. "Tricking" his teachers worries me, becuase if this is true (again, which I doubt), then you're behavior is actually criminal (at the least misdemeanor child endangerment, although if you're child dies or becomes a retard it WILL become a felony, complete with jail time). Im not sure what state you're in, but in most states teachers have a legal responsiblity to report sh*t like this. Its really only a matter of time before CPS takes you're kids, so its probably in you're best interest to at least act responsible and shell out the 50 dollars to a walk-in clinic to save you're son's life

Well have you taken him to a Doctor or hospital to be checked? This is the wrong place to get answers on what your son has, without him being checked by professionals. 2 weeks is a long time to have a fever and what were you thinking, taking him a cold bath and sending him to school being sick and who cares about a stupid rug.
Act like a responsible mother and take him to seek medical attention. I know we shouldn't swear on these messeges, but there are a couple of names I would like to call you for being so such an irresponsible, careless mother.

With a fever that high i'm surprised your son hasn't started to convulse. To have a fever that high he should have been brought right into the emergency room at your local hospital. He should have never gone on that long with such a high fever. Take him into the emergency room right now, something major could be happening to him.

Fever at 106 is not something to be taken lightly. Consult your physician immediately. There might be something bothering him other than the fever, which might just be a symptom.

You can't send a child to school with a fever. When your bodies temp is up that is when whatever you have can be passed along to others.....
And a 106 degree fever can be very dangerous. It's hard to believe your son is still alive. Anything over 103 can cause brain damage and death...
GET HIM TO A HOSPITAL ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this is a phony question and you're just testing us.
If you're not, your son has a serious infection somewhere in his body and needs to see a doctor now before his fever breaks down his vital organs!
