i have 2 puppies and one was just givein to me and i want to get them both licenced in case the previouse owner of the puppy that was givein to me comes back and says that they want the puppy back i want to get them licenced so its leagal that they are mine and i dont know how to go about getting them licenced or about houw much it would cost if you would please help me and it would be apreaciated thank you lots

Go to the vet and get the shots and license the dogs in your name then they are legally yours .Also keep them inside for awhile so these ppl dont come back and try to take your dog while you arent home. I would venture to say around 200.00 should take care of everything.

In my county you get your pet licensed through animal control at the health dept. You have to get a paper from your vet saying that they are current on rabies vaccinations and then it cost $7 a year per dog. It may be different in your area. Check with animal control and they will let you know.

you need to contact the local humane society...in my county we don't have to pay for a license because we had him chipped...
