My husband accidently wore his before the wedding. He decided he wanted to have an engagement ring as well so he bought himself a simple, small, plain band. We intended to get the match to my wedding set later. But life happened and a number of unexpected bills came up. We were able to still have the wedding as planned...except for his ring. We decided that since he already had a ring it was more important to pay the doctor bill and electricity than get his ring. (We lived together for about 10 months before the wedding)
Granted he didn't intentionally wear his wedding ring before the wedding but technically he did and nothing went wrong.

I've never heard that it's bad luck. My husband and I both tried on our bands when we got them and our wedding turned out well! Now, I wouldn't actually wear the wedding band around before the wedding, but just because you're not married before the wedding.

the wedding ring is only a symbol of your love to each other. it means that your love has been taken. wearing it before the wedding doesn't give bad luck. but, why would you want to wear it before? the ring is special, shouldn't be worn just because. i think you need to wait for the ceremony, and then wear it.. or if you wanna show it off just take it to your friends and show it to them. i think that if you really want that ring to be special and remind you of that special date, you need to wait!

It seems weird to wear it around before the wedding. I don't know about bad luck, but it's just strange.
But you definitely need to try it on and make sure it fits!

Its important to try it on if you haven't already and make sure you were sized right. You really shouldn't wear it before the weddding though, it dilutes the meaning if you wear it besides briefly to try it on.

Innapropriate, unless you will be using your engagement ring as your wedding band, as well.

I don't know, but why would you want to? It hasn't been blessed and you are not married yet!
