My moms letting me get it done for Christmas this year. How badly does it hurt?

Pain is relative and varies from person to person. As a piercer I have had everyone from cry babies to the tough girls who don't even flinch. It's a quick pinch and some pressure from clamps and it's over with in seconds. I have a feeling what little pain you should experience will be tolerable and if you REALLY wanted it done, pain wouldn't even be a factor in this. Good luck from a piercer to a piercee

I've had 5 body piercings (including my belly button) and it hurt the worst. But again like someone else said, it varies from person to person.

It hurts, but nothing you can't handle. My guy used a numbing gel on me first, but I still felt it. The initial pain isnt bad, just take a deep breath and let it out as they pierce you. It's going to be sore for week or so afterwards.

Pretty badly (mine was done 12 years ago), but I have heard of some places using a topical anesthetic to numb you. Find a place that does that and it shouldn't be so bad.

Try pinch your belly... It'll hurt a lot more than that... I never like people to pierce any body parts except the ear lobes...

Not at all.. The "bark" is much worse than the "bite"..I freaked out when I saw the needle that was used, but it was no worse than having to prick my finger to test my blood sugar. I did have a problem healing up, though..be sure to use and follow the after care instructions..KEEP IT DRY!! Good luck!

i had my belly button pierced and it was no pain until afterwards and that was just mild soreness. the only freaky thing was that i could hear my skin pop as the needle went thru it. the soreness goes away as u continue to clean it.
