I am a believer, I have not studied extensively, but I do have my own deck,
If you go to a new age store they will have some tarot decks and books to teach you how to work the cards. Also I f you go to www.tarot.com
you can do online tarot readings (that's not as true accurate thought) but the website canstill teach you.
I guess saying if you don't believe don't answer has the same effect as saying, "DON'T PUSH THE RED BUTTON!"

Yes, don't take it as absolute truth, only an amusement. The problem with tarot is that the answer changes each and every time you use it even if you ask the same question.
Other than that, get a couple of books and read up on it.

You need to go to a book store and buy a book about it...a lot of books come with cards and the book will have explanations of all the cards and how to do the spreads....but If you actually believe in it you might need to take a step back for a moment and question why you would believe a deck of card can tell the future...I thought it was really neat when I first did it...when I was like 14....but Its just like horoscopes...you can make your own interpretation of what the fortune says....

Most decks come with the basic meanings of each card. I suggest getting a working knowledge of what the cards mean, especially before you try to do some serious readings. It doesn't have to be specific, but learning what the symbols on the cards mean helps you to better understand the reading you are doing. And when you start doing readings, start simple. If you jump right into the harder ones, you will end up confused and frustrated.

I recently took this free online course at paganwiccan.about.com, which helped me quite a bit. (I can read playing cards, but had problems with Tarot!)

It does belong in this catagory because it is spirituality. If you find anything on learning about tarot please let me know. I had mine read a few weeks ago and the pyshic was compeletly correct.

Make yourself familiar with each individual card. Turn one over study the symbolism decide what you feel the meaning of the card is , then look it up. You will be surprised how many times you are correct.

Does the tarot edify Christ? No. Therefore, it is none of His.
A believer has no business in submitting their life to anything that does not edify Christ. The tarot belongs to the enemy because they do the work of the enemy. Your life was not created by or made useless to chance cards.
