go to your doctor and get quinine tablets

Otherwise medically known as Restless Leg Syndrome.
The only way I found to lessen it was to walk, seriously walk! I'm talking about 3 miles plus a day. I tried medication but the side effects were worse than the restless legs. Keeping my legs warm at night (wearing legwarmers in bed is not sexy but its better than doing a dance every few seconds!), and not having heavy blankets over my legs was quite helpful. I don't often get it now but when I do I tend to walk up and downstairs about 5 or 6 times and this usually helps.

I take an anti-inflammatory when mine act up. Sometimes just getting up and walking helps me as does a hot shower or bath. I have used a heating pad a time or two as well....

It is very annoying but if you are willing to take prescription meds for it talk to your doctor, they have some available now. I don't, I prefer to just handle it the way I stated above and not pay the cost of a prescription.

I have also noticed that if I overdue exercise or physical activity my leg is more apt to act up that night. You might also have triggers and just have not connected them yet, so keep track of when you have them and what you did that day...see if you have a reoccurring activity that might act as a trigger... it's worth a shot.

Good Luck!
