Soda will definately help mainly because of the low intake of sugar. You will most likely lose about 10-15 lbs. (depending on your current weight) if you are heavy soda drinker. Do it! You'll love it! But don't drink other beverages with as much sugar... e.g. juice, gatorade, etc.

I lost 10 pounds in one week cutting out my sodas. Also divide your weight by 10. That is how many 8 oz glasses of water you should drink a day. at 160 I drink half a gallon (16*8=128 which is 1/2 gallon) The human body likes is fluid at body tempature. So if you drink ICE water your body will burn calories to warm it up to body tempature. Also final tip, you should eat 10 calories for every pound you want to weigh. So I am trying to go to 140, so I eat 1400 calories a day. I dropped 70 pounds (230 - 160) in 3 months on a 1600 calories diet. So now I am cutting back to 1400 to drop 20 more pounds. This is with low to moderate excercise. Walk the kids to the park, walk stairs instead of elevators when posible, vaccuming is actually a good calorie burner. I am not saying do arobics daily. Just add some simple stuff to your daily routine a little at a time. My thought would be try to lose 50 pounds stay there for a bit then try for the other 50.

If you want to lose weight, you should drink DIET PEPSI or some other diet drink. AND, that alone will not lose you 100 pounds. That takes diet and exercise. Take it from a professional, lifelong dieter. I walk by food and gain weight, so I really have to watch what I eat. I recommend the South Beach Diet. It is relatively painless, but you cannot eat much pasta, rice, potatoes, or bread. Good luck.

If you drink a case of Pepsi a day, not drinking Pepsi would help you lose weight. It is possible to lose weight and do what you want. The secret is to use more calories than intake in a days time. Switch to low fat and no fat products and get more exercise.

Well, if you do nothing but stop the soda, you would probably lose 10-15 lbs. in a year....depending on how much of that garbage you drink.
You can't blame being 100+ lbs. overweight on just the soda. You should talk to your doctor about this. Being that obese, I am sure you have a myriad of health problems in addition to the weight. The doctor can put you on a healthy diet and monitor you.

Yes, dont drink any soda of any kind. This alone will not help you to lose 100 pounds though. It will help. Drink water or 100% juice only. If you have stairs in your house, it also might help to walk up and down them as much as you can, which is just as good as an excersize machine. :)

Yes, anytime you lower your calorie intake it can help to lose weight, as long as you are not substituting it with something of equal calories. I switched from regular Coke to diet Coke and with exercise and watching overall calories, I've lost 20lbs in 6 weeks.

To exercise you don't necessarily need equipment, just get out there and walk for half an hour everyday, as fast as you can manage.
Good luck!

It's not the Pepsi it's the calories in it. You have
all you need to exercise. Jug of juice or milk ect.
Steps, cleaning house and walking are some, think of more. Eat less exercise more.

Well you figure you'd be cutting out 100 calories with every pepsi you don't drink. The more calories you cut out the more weight you'll lose.

Yes, pepsi and all other sodas, diet or not, will make you gain weight. Regular sodas have tons of calories and diet soda has ingredients that make you crave tons of sweets.
Water is the way to go.
