I'm not ready to find out just yet, but i belive that we move on to something else. I think that the pyrpose of life is to gain knowledge, so in the next we are ready to go further then we did before. How else have people evolved over the last 3 million years.

Our identity is a physical act, hosted in a physical body.
There is no spirit. No one has ever communicated from the dead, there is no scientific proof of an existence after our physical death.
Matter and energy are interchangeable and immutable - cannot be created or destroyed, only changed. Our bio-chemistry uses the relationship between energy and matter (metabolism).
Our physical body is optimised to support intellect, which enables our species to have an edge over other species and more control over our environment, ensuring the viability of our gene pool into the future.
When our physical body ceases to function, our identity is no longer supported and will cease as well. The physical / energy components of our make up transfer to the surrounding environment is a surprisingly large number of ways.
As individuals, upon death, we no longer exist, only our matter and energy changes.
Enjoy this life, it is all our identity will have. Make the most of it.

Before you were born, your spirit was young (just like when you couldnt remember the first 2-3 years of your life). As you grow in this world, your spirit grows. The only way for the spirit to grow is while you live and act in this world.
When you die, your spirit has grown to a certain level and will automatically find its own way to Heaven or Hell. If you live a life of secrecy and selfishness and anxiety, its probably bad news for you. If you love life, you're always happy and you love others around you, then its probably good news.

Hello,
After death our bodies part with our souls, the body becomes nothing more than a "tent".You or i will see our own bodies..leaving..and going away./This has been my theroy for amny years now and i have done reaserch into this..we live in a very material, scientic world with lots of tecno advances, this very thing makes people not think about the spiritual side of death, they are afraid of death..but it is not the end, rather a begining. No i am not a "crack-pot"...there is much eveidence to support life after death.

No-one knows for sure, all theories are based on faith, believers and athiests all say they know for sure. Kurt Vonnegut in his book "Slaughterhouse 5" says that there is a purple hum, nothing else, just a purple hum. That seem at least as good as any other theory to me. It would be shame if certain people (no names, no pack drill) got away with not being bestially tortured for eternity in Hell for the iniquities they did while here, but there you are.

The biology of what happens after you die is pretty well documented. As for the spiritual side - who knows? One of the ironies about the way we live our terminal lives is that the thing which frightens us the most is the one thing that's definitely going to happen!!!
I suppose I'd like to know what level of awareness we, as conscious beings, might have once the biology which drives us stops. I think that, if they could prove non-awareness, it might help those people who are so terrified of what might happen when they die because of what their religions tell them (purgatory, for example) might start celebrating their faith, rather than fearing it.

no longer heaven for sure, it is basically a comforting tale. i replaced into lifeless until now i replaced into born, and that's what particularly dying is like. you basically die as quickly as, make it in a triumph, good or undesirable. i desire to bounce off the empire state construction with a pot of gold while i'm previous.
