I was issued some cheap Hi-Tech or whatever they are called, but they hurt my feet after a few hours - among the boots in my collection I have a pair of Danner Striker GTX that I bought in 2003 that still look good and feel great.

I'll probably buy more Danners when the time comes to replace them...what are your favorites?

Brahma's are the best, sold at walmart, are thinsulate and actually last. I buy at least two new pair a year just because I have back issues. I wear them all year around, they keep your feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter. What more can you ask for?

Matterhorn's i had a pair of winter ones that i got because i was going to be in an area with snow. they kept my feet warm all winter, and actually cool in the summer i had the same boots all year and they still feel great

I've been wearing Bates "Durashocks" boots for the last 10 years and I have never had a problem. Very comfortable for working in. Love them!
