The Portuguese word "amor" means "love". Can you translate "saudade" into English using only one word.

"Saudade" is a word which simply cannot be exactly - and I must stress "exactly" - translated into any other language! Not with one word only, anyway!
Of course, there are lots of words in other languages which mean almost the same as "saudade". Almost! This is the problem when it comes to translating "saudade"!
For instance, when you miss someone or something, you could say you have "saudade" for that person or that thing. However, "to miss" does not encompass the whole sense or the whole mix of feelings that are implied by "saudade" in Portuguese.

they say this word has no literal english translation, so this question is pointless.

Longing, melancholy for an unrequited love. I've heard about this word. Linguists can barely translate this one. There isn't a true equivalent in english.

That does no longer exist in Portuguese. Just in Portuguese textual content messages. Brigadin = Obrigadinho (thank you) Amr = Amor (love, sweerheart, little one, darling...) So it is anything like: "Thanks darling" * "Obrigadinho" is "Thanks", in view that is sort of a quick type of "Obrigado" = "Thank you",
