It takes 2 to argue. Dont ignore her but dont let her hurt u either. Dont fight back, eventually she will get tired of fighting alone. Go out with her, and ask her why she's always nitpicking on u? (guilt trips sometimes help). If u comunicate and spend time together it will minimize the argument.

It happended to me and now im friends with my mom, and it only was like 1/2 a year ago.

first of all, I have a mother who has done the same thing for years, and now that I am grown and gone, she is finished with it.

Anyway, she is your mom, so, when she picks a fight DO NOT raise your voice at her, if in an aplicable situation say calmly and quietly say "I'm sorry, mom" even if you know you are not guilty. It shows that you are willing to try making things better, and that you still love her. She might not stop hollering, but it can still help build better spirits between you later.

back in the day, when my mom stopped hollering at me, she would go read a bit of her book, or quilt. with out the line I mentioned above, she never came back to appologise, but with the sorry line, she has always come back to say she is sorry, and was out of line.

I dont know what more she wants, but she needs her attention called to it. Take some time away from her, stay away from the negative. If you want to get along, you have to put some effort into it yourself. I think Id sit down with her and tell her that it bothers you how you two dont get along. You need your Mom and youll always need her.....but its gonna take effort from both of you to get along.
