No. It's very difficult to sue someone for lying. Most times someone is prosecuted or sued for lying has to do with lying under oath or breaching a contract. She needs to get over it. If she wants to mess up his life, tell the wife all about it.

no
you can only sue when there have been damages.
if a person lied to you, and you lost money or property because of it, or a job, etc, then you have grounds
lately, lawyers have been getting very crafty at getting court cases on "emotional damages", but that is usually in conjunction with other events, physical harm, etc.
you can never pay enough money to get the years back you lost

best for her to do everything possible to move on... and not waste another moment on that loser

if she is dead set on getting back at him, she can try to bring the media into it. The news LOVES stories like this. They will praise the woman, expose the man, and inform the current wife as well. Plus she may be able to save other women from heartache

good luck

Yes, you can sue for lying. If she has friends, like you, that saw them together and he said they were dating and introduced her as his fiance. If she has the ring, there is proof of the relationship with other things and people. Best is small claims court for the max of $5000. I find it difficult that she didn't know he was married after dating for three years. But, if he's very good at deceit I suppose it is possible.

I think you should be able to sue a man if you misrepresents himself and says he isn't married or he doesn't have a girlfriend. Does anybody know who does this

One: she cannot sue.

Two: She apparently isn't very smart if you "know" someone for three years and during all this time you never even suspect that this guy may be married. Is she a horse wearing blinders? Is she just plain dumb or do you think as her friend that she just didn't give a damn?

It amazes me how many stupid and naieve people are in this world. hard to believe in this day and age.

To me yes, I seen it on court tv lol. But if not I think that you should try your best to get over it because everybody lies at some point in time regardless weather its for a reason or not.

anyone can sue for anything. It's more of whether or not you'd win or it would be worth the hassle.
