My family struggles w/ diabetes.
Your health risks from the "Fake" sugars are far and away insignificant compared to your risks should you use "real" sugar.
Quite frankly, most of the risk allegations come from special interest groups that have an axe to grind, including competitiors who'd love to see a rival banned, or a company that wants their new stuff to be used (which of course costs more).
For instance, the "cancer" link for cyclomates, sacharine, etc are usually "discovered" after a few thousand rats are fed a million times more than you're likely to be taking in.

No,it will send your blood sugar level up. Use alternatives like Candrel tablets. Don't buy the really cheap ones,500 for 50c or 50 p. They taste vile. Grapes are another high sugar source, don't buy them

I would stay away from both. If you crave sweets, have a piece of fruit. Also stay away from unhealthy carbs - bread, pasta - stuff that will just break down into sugar in your body. I'm not diabetic and that's what I try to do!

They shouldn't push the boundary on that. Go get advice from a doctor. Not to be fool around.
