They can not turn anyone away from an Emergency Room.They are treated only by their medical problem.if you give false information as to where to be billed and you are not a legal citizen,then no matter how much the hospital room trys it can not collect the money owed to them for treatment.The person who is legal gives his/her information and it has many ways to track that legal person down,SS#,Drivers licenses,work Id etc.The legal can be found and sued in court and his /her wages garnisheed. The illegal cant be found..So in essence the illegal has obtained free medical care.

Everyone gets a bill when they go to a hospital. We do not know if the Immigrants pay or not, just as we do not know how many Americans pay.

As I seen a posted law on a hospital once. It read that no woman in labor would be turned away from getting care because she could not pay, did not have insurance or legal status. If you complain that they might get free medical care, then do something more productive than complain in Y! A!. If this is a bigger issue than trying to get affordable health care to the millions of Americans that cannot afford it because of Privatization, then you are living in a delusional world.

By FEDERAL LAW,anyone who goes to an e.r. MUST be treated,whether they can pay or NOT!!!! And, with the ILLEGALS, they NEVER pay,so the cost gets passed on to the TAXPAYERS!!!!!
I was just reading in today's Arizona Republic,that 46% (almost HALF) of the people ABUSING our e.r.'s are for NONemergency treatment!!! Makes me WONDER if the MAJORITY of them aren't all ILLEGALS!!!!! The illegals KNOW that if they go to the e.r, they will NOT be turned away for NOT having insurance!!!!

YES.... but I would call it STOLEN.... just like they are STEALING from our educational system... and our society....
Do they have health insurance policies?
Do they have auto insurance policies?
Do they pay traffic fines?
Are they immunized before illegally and criminally entering the USA?
Deport the criminals and their children... NO AMNESTY... no birthright citizenship for children of illegal aliens....
No more profiting from their crimes and continued criminal activity in the USA.
Americans are going to have to use a louder voice to end this society destroying invasion.... since Congress seems intent on aiding and abetting the criminals....

nothing in life is free. u know that. someone's got to pay in the end.
most illegals cannot afford their own medical because the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS that hire them for 2 dollars an hour are too cheap to offer them health insurance.

What you people don't get is that hospitals are morally and legally bound to treat all people in emergency situations.
Now if you are talking about plastic surgery or something like that, that's a different story...
