I'm currently going to school from 5pm to 10pm. I hear UPS or FedEx is a good place to work while in college cause it pays for tution. I was going for FedEx cause it pays more and doesnt have weird hours avalible (UPS was 3am to 9am). But with my family having finincal problems and my mom going nuts and losing her job (u can read all my mom problems in my "should i get out asap" question) she says she wants me to work both so i can bring home more money. If I do that ill have little sleep or time to do homework (even though i do most of it at school), but it would be nice to help my mom out and have money for myself on the side. What should I do?

Wow, I've been there and I think that you're a great daughter to want to help out the Family. I think that you should help them out but I feel that having 2 jobs might cause your education to suffer and you need to make your parents realize this because it's very important. I think it's unfair for you to have to work 2 jobs while going to school. Your parents need to step up to the plate and hustle a little more. Your education is your future and your passport to a more promising life don't let it suffer. Good luck and study hard!!!=)

Take the job until you can save enough money to help your family out. In the mean while fill out an application at your college to work on campus. They are always in need for someone to work in the bookstore, cafeteria, financial office etc. The pay is okay and you don't have to stress yourself out on your classes. Make a schedule and stick to it. Study for two or three hours on your free time or on your commute to work. You can do some reading on your breaks. Good luck and hang in there.

Take the best job that fits your schedule better. And for your mom she needs to get out and find her a job. Your trying to go to college she needs to support you while your trying to make something of yourself. But don't work yourself to death. You need to get some sleep so you can focus on your school work. Good luck.

You need to do what is right for you and your future. School is a serious investment in your future. If you work your self to death then your school work will ultimately suffer and the future you are striving so hard for will never happen. Life is about balance and if you work yourself to death you will not have that in your life and your life will not be one worth living. I feel sorry for your mom but she has to take responsibility for her life and not expect you to fix every thing for her and be her keeper.

Continue with your education, get that degree or certificate. If the present work situation gives you time to sleep and study stick with it. Tell Mom to find another job. My Mom worked all her klife raised 4 children practically on her own. You are smart to seek an education. Here if someone loses their job the Unemployment Commission offers paid courses to learn a new skill...

don't over work yourself. Work your reg hrs and go to school. You two will just have to budget a little bit more on money. If you work all the time, you will be burned out in two weeks time. Then your school work might suffer, and then what's the point. So just take time, rush things.

Your education should be your top priority right now. You will be paying your loans for years to come, and it will help you to be able to get a job that pays well. I don't think you should take a job that will leave you exhausted and impair your education. Try to look for work during the daytime hours. It may not pay as well, but your health and education will be better off for it.

I didn't read the "should I get out asap" but, you should do what you need to do to make sure you're able to study and get things done for school - otherwise why bother going? You need to earn your own money for your own stuff. Why is your Mom expecting you to help support the family?
lol - maybe I should go read your other question. But you do what you need to do for you.

You should tell your mom that if you had time to focus on school more, you'd be able to get a better job in the future, and bring in more money in the long run and still be alive to enjoy it. Honestly, one full time job and going to school full time is tiring enough.
