I started by reducing what I was already eating. Whenever I would eat, I would only eat half of what I was eating. I would put the rest of it up until later, then I would finish eating it. It would take me at least half the day to eat my breakfast and half the night to eat my breakfast. I stopped drinking soda all together. Now I only drink it when I go out to eat (I don't even buy it for my house). I started walking and stopped eating as much junk food. It's not really about what you eat, it's all about how you eat it. You can still have all of the things you like or love to eat, you just can't eat as much of it. And you have to remember that you won't lose any of the weight over night. But as long as you cut back on your intake, it will happen in time.

How much weight are you looking at losing?
Here is what worked for me when I found I had gained too much during a bad relationship:
Don't eat fried food: That places extra fat in it.
Don't get seconds. Do get smaller portions.
Don't eat junk food. And limit the ammount of desert you get.
Do exercise. Do eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
Drink lots of water.
Don't drink soda: Sodas tend to be loaded with sugar, albeit disguised. And diet sodas tend to lead some people to believe that it is okay to eat extra since the drink is low-calorie.
There are a number of teas that are good for helping a person to lose weight. Look into them.
Good luck!

I always find the most effective way for me is to eat only fruit and vegetables and drink just water for a few days. Also exercise more. I mainly do fast walking or swimming as I feel they don't overstrain your body and you can easily know your own limits.
After a few days I add back in carbs like brown rice, wholemeal pasta, beans, nuts and seeds. After a few weeks you should be feeling lighter not only in weight but also have more energy.
Hope this helps...

Hi,
The best way to loose weight is by starting with your eating habits. You can keep eating all the foods you like, but cut down on the quantity. Once you've started that, then add activities to your life style.
