By the standard of His day, He was very liberal. By the standard of our day, He was very consevative.
He was not completely like modern day liberals or conservatives, but a class by Himself. He was moral, merciful, believed in charity, but also believed in a persons responsibility for their own actions. He was descisive, bold, and couragious, never afraid to stand up to someone, even someone in power. But He was also kind, merciful, and never vengeful.
Jesus is a stark contrast to modern conservatives and modern liberals. As the Bible says "Indeed, My thoughts are not like your thoughts, and My ways are not like your ways, for just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts." ~Isaiah 55:8-9

That question has to be understood within the context of a society. At the time and place he lived in, he was a liberal. In the context of today, it depends on the location, in some places he would be seen as a conservative, in others as a liberal.
best wishes

Cool question. He was way different from the norm of his time. Then I guess that would make him liberal and radical. He was talking to a Samaritan and the jews didn't do that a tall. Against their rules big time. PLUS, she was a woman, but he still sat with her and told her about God. Very very cool dude! When they wanted to throw him over a cliff, he just walked straight thru the crowd! Nice. Very nice!

Jesus would have been non-partisan. He clearly showed by both word and action that his kingdom was no part of this world. This is why people were angry at him, they had been expecting him to save them... to end Roman oppression. They were wrong. This is why they came to him to make him King, he ran away from them. The role of the Messiah was to point his followers to a future Kindom that would bring an end to all of the world's corrupt governments, not just the one they were living under. That time was yet in the future. It still is... in OUR future.

Liberal perhaps or more like a Libertarian.
Definitely would not even recognize most of these American bible thumpers. Big Brother reactionaries who mis-label themselves "conservative". These are the very Police State types he fought against and was killed by.
How ironic that they now claim him as their personal savior or whatever. Ironic and sad and bizarre.....

Jesus would be arrested and be sitting in a jail cell somewhere if he were here in the flesh today. He was a big time radical who knocked over the money lender's tables and upset the status quo on many issues. His message of peace and compassion would be scorned by today's modern 'christians'.

i imagine he might want to be considered a communist. He fed, healed and taught the individuals for free. some thing neither political party might want to ever evaluate! Welfare does no longer count number, it must be for each of the individuals. Now i understand that someone might want to ought to paintings to have issues to furnish out. even with the indisputable fact that, i'm wondering if it develop right into a co-operative concern and anybody actually contributed to the efforts, no one might want to be hungry or bypass untreated for what their ailments are. we are too grasping of a human beings.

I think he would be both. He is very liberal when it comes meeting the physical need of others, like housing and food. Yet I think he would give people land and tell them to work it. I think he would be conservative when it comes to sex outside of marriage and family values.

Well, hes not a liberal and did not reform the church! I mean, there was no church to reform! He told his apostles to start the Catholic Church. And I think he would have been a conservative!----He would have been totally against abortion, gay marriages, etc. You can find related topics in scripture.
