Why is it that people say that they are in "love".
Because people can not really say that you love someone till you really know them. So why is it that the word "love" used so flippantly?

You know, I don't have a definite answer to this, but it is a very good question that I ask myself often.

It is usually either used because it is what someone thinks the other person wants to hear, or because the person saying it really wants it to be true.

People really do not know the meaning of the word and what it can do to some people!!!

I think people sometimes get "love" confused with passion, attraction to someone and they just think they are in love.

some people just love throwing that word around. some people really mean it, others just take it lightly.

because saying i love you brings a little bit of false security to your relationship even though it has no real meaning.

because its a deep feeling that they have for someone and they think they are gonna remain with that person for a long time
