They can not receive citizenship unless they take classes, a test, and an oath. They can only become a legal permanant resident through marriage to a U.S. Citizen.

(Even though he/she may already be here, he/she is illegal. This process should be able to help. It may be lengthly, but at least it will be 100% legal.) Good Luck!

PS. Noone has the right to look down on other races living here. The United States is a country made up of immigrants. Remember, this land was originally inhabited by the Native American Indians.

The answer from Guess is correct. Marriage to a US Citizen can result in a green card, and then 3 years after getting a green card, you can apply to become a citizen

After filing and doing it properly they can get permanent residence. You have to be a permanent resident for a set time (usually 5 years) to apply for citizenship.
Look up the requirements, though, there are a bunch. They will also look into the marriage itself to check that it is not a fraud.
Guys, he said 'non-resident' that means he is NOT illegally here. Legal entry is one of the requirements, I believe.

Yes. You as a non-resident alien are not her illegally just have to fill out all of the paperwork.... and wait. BUT with the Extremely long waits.....possibly your non-resident alien card would expire before immigration gets off of their butt to at least review your app As I have mentioned many times before. ICE.... INS.... whatever they call themselves these days needs to be completely torn down and edified with specific departments with specific job details... They must be held accountable for their work ethics. You for example as a law abiding citizen (hopefully) do not have racist reasons for reporting someone does not even know who to report them too.... This bureaucratic monster of a department does not serve the Public in its work... nor does it serve its purpose in granting work permits for those who have applied.... what good are they? They have the attitude that I will get to them when I get to them not just to the people who they are supposed to serve .... But to the USA citizen who in essence supplies them with that paycheck that they do not earn..... Heads up...... Rebuild this monster of a department while building this wall across the border.
