Christian - Did you read the whole series? Doesn't sound like it. But maybe you did. And dear, satin is a fabric, Satan is the bad guy you're talking about.

Scott M - I asked for comments from people who HAVE READ THE SERIES. Maybe take off the blinders/sunglasses and some things will become more clear.

Mutterhal - Why did you comment on something you didn't read? Your hatred today and quite frankly everyday is disturbing.
Think about this-
Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Faith - I agree. The first movie could've been better produced. The book series is incredible and as always, the book is better than the movie.

the mystic - So you never read the series, and you are basing your opinion on a Rolling Stones mag. article?? Are you also having difficulty following directions at home and at high school? SEE QUESTION... Who has R-E-A-D ....

I know it has some fictual basis to it, but I loved the series. I couldn't wait til the nest one came out. It made me see the end of times in a better way. Even if it may not happen excatly like that. Just gives me more of a visual to help. I thought it was well written and exciting. For those that mock the end of times the bible says there will be those to do that so just helps confirm to me that I was right to have the faith.

I enjoyed the books, a good fast page turner. I have only read the first 9 or so, I got ahead of printing and lost interest. I was impressed with the realism of the Christian characters. They seemed to deal with life imperfectly. They fell, and they got back up. I enjoyed seeing a book portray life as I know it. There aren't any Christian characters in mainstream movies and books. They just simply don't exist, or they're the town nutcase. It's quite a rude discrimination.
I don't believe in the way they portray the end times. I am worried that people today will be fooled like the Jews were when Jesus came the first time. I think that they interpreted the prophecies and were waiting for what they thought was coming, therefore they missed the real thing. I just hope people reading these books don't miss the truth when it happens. I hope we can all keep our hearts open to see the move of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of life. I hope that we don't get all focused on getting out of here and neglect our assignments Jesus left for us to do.
If you want to read some great fiction with a Christian bent, the books are great, but if you really want to know what the Bible says about the end times, read the Bible itself. It's all very confusing and that is probably for a reason. We don't need to know exactly what is happening.

What a colossal pile of alarmist crap! Rolling Stone magazine did an article on the author two years ago, I think. He is a very frightening individual who moves secretly and very quietly behind the scenes in our federal Government. I don't think I can take this work seriously, but many others believe what they've read in those books.

I read the entire series and own all three films.

Although there are several concepts presented in the series that I strongly disagree with, I thought it was entertaining. I have to admit I cried at certain parts, like when my favorite characters died and when Jesus returned to the earth (although I think that part could have been developed a bit more). Occasionally, the writing style of the books was a bit ... "old man-ish." Like when a young character uses an out-of-date expression that you know isn't used by anyone under 60-ish.

Overall, it was a good series; I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. The films barely followed the books, but were well-acted, although the Antichrist character could have been a bit more evil; I'd rate them the same as the books.

Peace.

It's a gabage heap of post-apocalypse fantasies, revenge fantasies, one-dimensional characterizations, and hideous mythical distortions. Just like the Bible.

It isn't even that well written. I can read a story I don't agree with politically or otherwise if it's done well. This stuff is nearly unreadable. I'd call it satire except that the writers are deadly serious.

The "Left Behind" series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins is super good. It's the book that helped me to believe in the first place. However, I studied it out, and that whole rapture business doesn't make sense biblically. I don't think that Jesus would come 3x. He died and was resurrected and the next time he comes, it will be for all to see, every knew shall bow it says, and yes we will be caught up in a cloud, BUT that's that. No more tribulation period and then Jesus comes a 3rd time for those who FINALLY got it together after seeing him come! Nope. Most of revelation book already happened to the first century christians. Study it out for yourself people. Peace!

It is a bunch of BULL,,, there will not be any second chance, for anyone... If you don't go the first time,,,,, there AIN'T NO SECOND TIME FOR YOU... This is SATIN teaching these poor foolish people this mess, and all those that believe it, and WAIT for the second go-a-round, will be sorely disappointed. IT is not TRUE, don't fall for this mess, it is of SATAN, AND ALL OF HIS FOLLOWERS, and they all know who they are,, don't you???? No I did not read the book or what ever has you blinded to the truth, you see I read the word OF GOD, I DON'T believe in man made fairy tails. you need to read the Holy Bible and you will see the truth for yourself. I in no way meant to offend you, I am just trying to help you go to heaven, I am speaking the truth to you. I would never lie about something this important. I am sorry for you being called a bad name, please forgive her.

I get the feeling I’m the only Christian who hasn’t read them. I saw the first movie and wasn’t impressed with the production values, thought the dialog was pretty tedious.

I know the authors are great Bible Scholars and Christians and the books are best sellers and good reading from what I've heard. I've never read any of them---I just don't care for fiction.
