There is a difference between being in love and loving someone being in love with someone is a deeper feeling then just loving them so I would have to say falling in love with someone is when your heart feels some extreme passion for an individual. The meaning can be very powerful if it is true it means that you are letting down your guard and your boundaries for this person and giving them the most of you.
