I found a little blood (a drop or two) on the floor by the kitty litter box. I checked my cat's butts to see if maybe I could tell who it was, but I couldn't. They all are acting normal and eat regularly, but this is the second or third time this has happened. Does anyone know what the cause of this might be?

I will take them to the vet as soon as I can, but I want to know what I might expect before I get there and if this might be serious. They are on a constant diet of Iams Weight Control (Because one is too heavy and needs to lose weight) and they are indoor-only.

Thank you for your help?

Yes, they are all females (4 of them...) but they are all fixed and have been for a long time...I will check on the younger two (just to make sure), but they don't act like they are in heat at all...

I had one who had an infection with swelling which caused the blood, it was from eating crap outside. Since yours are inside it still could be and infection or something more serious. Best bet is to really watch them all very closely so you can try and determine which one has the problem and take that one as soon as you can to the vet. If you can not find the one call and talk to the vet and see what they suggest would be best for getting the correct one the help it needs, just don't wait to long.

There are a number of reasons this could be, from an injury to an illness, but one of the most basic, if you have an un-fixed female cat, could be that your cat is in heat.

Are they female and if so are they fixed? If not, you may have one in heat. Otherwise, it is likely just an intestinal parasite such as worms. Get them into the vet and have them tested. Most varieties are easily taken care of.

My cat also had did this and it was a minor urinary tract infection. Take her to the vet so that it doesn't become too serious. When caught early, it is very easy to treat.

My male cat had an urinary tract infection which is very serious if not treated quickly by the vet.

Just to expand a bit on what Sam D wrote...

If you DON'T treat it promptly it could kill your kitty!
