I only go out maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Last night was my sister-in-laws birthday and I drank WAY too much. Can anyone help me? What can I eat or take to make this awful feeling go away. I've been drinking plenty of water and I still feel like crap. I've got two soccer games to go to and tons of work to get done today and I just can't function.

...yes I know I shouldn't have been out drinking, but it was a lot of fun.

Hi sweetie, I can feel your pain...lol, I hate it when you have lots of things that need to get done and just cant do it. The best thing is time, try not to lay down too long, take a shower, eat something that has sugar in it and drink plenty of water. Water is probably the only thing that will actually help. Good luck,

I find that sweets help metabolize the alcohol still in your system .. Root Beer and or something sweet (not too much) like M&Ms ..

You shouldnt take Motrin or any Ibuprofin (or Tylenol) or Advil - you should only take asprin .. the others can damage your already weakened liver. (not likely but a good general rule)

and if you can take a vitamin (might make for an upset stomach)

Malox Max for nausea and upset stomach.

and get this .. Chicken Noodle Soup ..

Feel better

Take 2 advils or type of ibuprofen. Drink Gatorade instead of water. And eat some serious grease - like a fried egg sandwhich or a hamburger. 3 hours later- take 2 more advils. Gatorade ALL day...... you need the sugar, water and salt to feel better.

the thing that helps me is a quick 15 minute nap (if you have time) and drinking tons of water. try eating, pancakes are my drunk food, that will help some too.

to prevent a hangover next time no matter how much you drink...drink a ton of water before bed. my buddies and i go out to a 24 hr. restaurant before heading home after the bar and we order a pitcher of water for each of us, and that pitcher does the trick!!! (maybe sharing the combo appetizer platter helps too!)

A sports drink like Gatorade or Powerade willl absord faster than water, and you won't feel as bloated. It will also help restore your electrolytes. Pedialyte will also work for this. Ibuprohpin (like advil,) for the headache and body aches. AVOID GREASE! you're hung over mainly because you're dehyrated, and grease will dehydrate you. So will coffee. Sneak a nap at lunch.... and have you considered a good top-o-the-morning puke before anything else?

Alka-Seltzer Cold Plus works for me. Eat alot of fatty foods like hamburgers, fries or pizza. Drink a power drink like red bull and try and get some rest. You'll feel better tomorrow.

Take some aspirin and eat some crackers or toast - I find some Gatorade will also help. If you can after doing this lay down or sit and close your eyes for a few minutes to let it get in your system and start to work.

Red Bull or Gatorade. and Mcdonalds double cheeseburger, that always makes hangover less horrible. If u have time to sleep a couple hours take some tylenol. or Asprin. good luck

quit the water, it makes it worse, atleast for me. Try some V8, something with caffine, and something greasy (bacon & egg sandwich). If you can get it down, it will help. Then go with gatorade. Vitamins seem to help also. Oh, my sugar always goes way down, so get some sugar. orange juice, etc, not just candy, good luck
