No! People often make the error of mistaking confidence for arrogance. A person who is confident can seem arrogant simply because s/he is, for example, able to see a way to solve a problem while others are still thinking about a solution... and when s/he is shown to be right that is when the lesser people say s/he is arrogant. In reality they are simply enhibiting envy.
False humility is easily detected, so there is little point in indulging in such a strategy.

Greater sin? No such thing. Sin is sin--nothing great or small about it.

However, both honest arrogance and false humility can be transformed into that which is productive and positive. Continuing to say to self, "I know I am waaaay too arrogant" can lead one to desire to correct the behavior. Likewise, continuing to "fake" humility can be rewarding enough to an individual to the point of it becoming genuine.

Sometimes life causes you to have to "fake it 'til you make it", and that can be a GOOD thing. Sometimes, for example, I go to church and I'm like OUT OF IT! And, I would very much prefer sleep over worship...but when I get there and experience the movement of the Spirit of God, and get in His presence...WOW!

Being blessed is not discriminatory. If you seek Him, goodness will find you!

Sin is sin! God doesn't have a first degree sin, etc. Both arrogance & false humility make me sick.

No. If a person has honest arrogance then you know that he can back up what he says. If you know that someone's humilty is false then he or she might be overdoing it on purpose to play themselves up. Honestly is less of a sin then disshonesty i would say.

All sin , and I mean ALL Sin is unholy to an all Holy God,
God does not give levels of severity to sin. with the exception of Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and that interprets to rejecting the Holy Spirit's call to repentance and acceptance of God, and no one knows who has committed that sin except God, and those who have done so, do not care whether they did or not, If you are afraid you have done so, then that means you haven't

I thinnk God would rather hear an ugly truth, over a pretty lie. So when I die, I'm going to tell God that I was an arrogant piece of **** , and he will do with me what he pleases. He may send me to hell, but at least he'll respect my honesty.

They are both based in pride.

Scripture says to let the lips of another praise you.
Tootin' your own horn is an abomination to God. Pride in "self" leaves us with a look of self-satisfaction.

Truth is never a sin, but blunt truth is sometimes strategically inefficient.
