A guy that I have been conversing with, will meet soon, mentioned John Norman and the planet Gor. Said that I would make a good Gor slave. I googled it, seems pretty dark. I am a pretty open minded, 30 somthing single adult. But is this wierd? Guys, what about this interests you? Does it mean a real lack of respect for women? Ladies, ever date a Gor guy? Info, please!!! Thanks to all!

I should mention...
this is sci fiction. John Norman is the author. Mostly fantasy but seems to have a not so subtle S&M component. Thanks!

Well, I am not a guy, but a woman who is a part time Domina...There are many people into the whole subset of BDSM that is Gor. I myself am a switch...(someone who is able to be both Dominant or Submissive sexually) ,..,and wear a collar similar to the ones described in the Gor series. It does lock in place and my Man has the only key. Our relationship is not based upon DBSM, the collar serves as a connection and focus for us. However this guy you are talking to seems way into the fantasy world of Gor. Men are always Masters, women are there to serve..in all areas...doesn't have to mean he hates women..as a matter of fact the best Masters adore their slaves, and protect them, cherish them and take care of them in all ways. This is called an exchange of power. The slave,(submissive) caters to the needs and sexual desires of the Master(dominant) and is in turn cared for. This must be a mutually desired exchange or it will not work.
If you are interested, talk to him about just what he wants...however if you are not interested let him know up front...and meet in public.

It sounds weird to me so I would approach with caution. And don't meet in any place but in public with other people around
